The MK 23 was developed in the 1990’s by a German arms manufacturing company called Heckler & Koch. It was designed for special operations units such as SOCOM. After testing, the weapon was put into production in 1996, and adopted by SOCOM in the same year.
The MK 23 is black, and has an ejection port stationed on the top-right of the weapon. It has sights very similar to the G18 and USP . It is also very similar in shape and size to the USP, and also similar in performance, making the two easily mistakable for each other.
The MK 23 is overall a good weapon. It has the highest possible damage for a pistol, and it has decent accuracy. It does suffer from a low magazine size, and it is also only effective at close range. The performance on this weapon is very similar to the USP. However, the Mk 23 can't take underbarrel attachments, while the USP can.
The MK 23 is a great weapon overall. It has a high caliber and decent accuracy. However, because of a 12 round magazine capacity, there are very few situations where it can be used effectively. Situations to use it include attacking single targets indoors and at very close range. It is not as good for longer range encounters, such as in the street, or attacking multiple targets at once.
