The PP-19 is a selective fire Submachine Gun found in military areas.

History[]

The PP-19 Bizon is a submachine gun developed in the early 1990s by a team at Izmash (now named the Kalashnikov Concern). The team included Victor Kalashnikov (son of the late inventor of the famed AK-47, Mikhail Kalashnikov) and Alexi Dragunov (son of Yevgeny Dragunov, inventor of the SVD rifle). The Bizon was developed at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) and has seen use with counter-terrorist and law enforcement personell in Russia, who need superior firepower in close quarters battle. The stock of the weapon can fold to the left for extra mobility. A 64 round magazine was chosen for it because 64 is a multiple of 16, and 9x19mm rounds are packaged on boxes of 16.

Appearance[]

The PP-19 Bizon is colored black. It has a polymer black frame with a cylindrical helical magazine. It has a skeletal stock which folds to the left for extra mobility, and for use in cramped quarters (for paratroopers and APC crewmen). This stock does not fold in game, however. It has sights similar to that seen on weapons in the AK series of rifles, such as the AK-47 and AK-74.

Performance[]

The PP-19, since it is chambered in the 9x18mm round, has the lowest damage in the game, along with the Makarov. Before the weapon balance update this gun used to have poor accuracy. However, it has very little recoil, as well as a decent rate of fire, making it a good weapon for close quarters combat for people who prefer to aim down the sights. It can also handle hipfiring really well, having the second best hipfire spread in the game, below the MP5. It can easily dispatch of zombies due to its 64 round magazine capacity, although its ammo is quite rare.

Notes[]

  • The weapon uses a helical magazine, which allows it to have a high capacity.
  • In real life, a helical magazine would increase the chances of a missfire.
